Shut Up and SmileTM Sends a Message to Whiners

About Us

The concept for Shut Up and Smile™ apparel and products was inspired by my own personal frustration. I’d turn on the nightly news to hear an increasing number of helpless victim stories. No matter what the circumstances or situation, it seemed that it was always somebody else’s fault. Nobody wanted to be accountable or take responsibility, so I took responsibility in my own creative way in 2004 and opened the first shop version of the Shut Up and Smile™. A charitable component has always been part of the plan. 

So many people seem to want to deflect blame. Kids tell teachers that the dog ate the homework. The car dies so we blame the mechanic, or it rains during our vacation so it must be the travel agent’s fault. We elect the wrong politicians and then blame the government for our problems. The list is almost endless.

Outspoken at times, but fun-loving, I am on a mission to encourage chronic whiners to stop feeling sorry for themselves. The Shut Up and Smile™ brand is an emotional outlet for individuals sometimes forced to suffer at the hands of chronic complainers. It also acts as a positive reminder that we can always swap the scowls for smiles.

Shut Up and Smile™ Objectives:

  • Expand our brand building process and open a brick & mortar location.
  • Develop a strong distribution channel that reaches around the world.
  • Build an apparel “brand name by choice” that easily recognizable and tied to a positive attitude.
  • Enhance current offerings while remaining focused on its mission.
  • Contribute a percentage of profits to charitable works and community based endeavors
  • Support fair and ethical trade in all its dealings.
